Zimmer views

One of the best academic reads on privacy has to be Michael Zimmer. Right now he is Microsoft Resident Fellow at the Information Society Project at Yale Law School.

But his blog provides some great viewpoints on privacy issues. His dissertation called the “The Quest for the Perfect Search Engine: Values, Technical Design, and the Flow of Personal Information in Spheres of Mobility,” talked about how search engines keep mining for even more data in their quest to perfect their search results. He recently had an interesting story talking about Google Street view. His blog is available at michalzimmer.org.
